My name is Jocelyn Gardner, but my friends call me Joss. My main expertise has been in scientific and medical illustration. My work has been extensively used in encyclopedia, educational books, magazines and marketing. Operating in this field for over 30 years, my digital imaging services also include graphic and web design and photography editing.
After a BA in Biology, life, and the birth of my daughter, brought me to explore what was to become my art and profession. In less than a year, most of my black and white drawings were part of a traveling exhibition of wildlife art. This gift of life signaled the beginning of my career as an illustrator.
In the 90’s, when the Apple computer was becoming strong for digital imaging, I was hired by the renowned publishing house QA-International. With a team of talented artists, we realized what is now known as the first visual dictionary entirely done by computer and sold in several million copies. Since then, I have mastered the Adobe Master Suite, and got skillful designing web sites on WordPress. My natural incline for innovation and effective work pulls me to continually perfect and refine my skills.
I am presently located in a beautiful landscape in the Laurentians north of Montreal, Canada. You are most welcomed to get in touch and ask for information by contacting me.
